Palestinian filmmaker Ayed Nabaa and Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam highlighted the international silence on the ongoing Israel's genocide in Gaza.

“As I stand here today, people in Palestine are being killed. Seventy-five days have passed since this crisis began."

He added that part of "the reason for these events is...the silence of other nations.”

Polish filmmaker Hanna Polak called for continued peace in the world.

US documentarian James Longley also emphasized the role of awareness and improved technology in documenting Gaza’s struggles.

The festival, which represents Iranian Islamic culture and global human issues, dedicated a section to Gaza.

The 17th edition of the Cinema Verité, Iran’s prominent International Documentary Film Festival, concluded on December 23.
